Applying to Specialty Training (GP)

These pages will guide and provide you with all the information you need to apply for a place on a General Practice Specialty Training programme.

How to Apply

The National Recruitment Office (NRO) co-ordinates recruitment to general practice training schemes throughout Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.  If you wish to apply only for General Practice, the NRO Website has all the documentation and guidance you require.

You do not apply for General Practice Training Programmes through the Scottish Medical Training website. However, if you wish to apply to other specialties in Scotland, in addition to General Practice, then you must do so via this website.
