Typical Work Pattern

Formal (protected) weekly FY1 teaching, ward-based teaching, MDT twice weekly during Vascular attachment, and weekly during Breast surgery attachment, Innovation laboratory teaching, weekly Journal club associated with General Surgery.

Teaching

As above.

The Breast unit runs a Bi-Monthly educational meeting. Trainees interested in a further career in surgery are encouraged to undertake either an audit or a project aiming for presentation/publication. The Breast Unit has excellent Academic Profile, especially that the Dean of the Medical School is one of the Consultants in the Unit.
