Main Duties of Placement

Palliative care ward round and jobs. Haematology ward round and jobs. Day oncology patient medical reviews. Team meetings.

Typical Work Pattern

Full shift. Day commences with palliative care followed by haematology ward rounds. Afternoon spent performing various jobs based on two wards.

Learning Opportunities

As per teaching below. Opportunities to witness and perform procedures e.g. bone marrow aspiration.


Weekly teaching, journal club, XR meeting and teaching on ward rounds.
