|Main Duties of Placement||
Care of old age psychiatry inpatients, attending ward rounds, family meetings and discharge planning meetings.
Assessment of new referrals in outpatient clinics.
Dictation of clinic and discharge letters.
|Typical Work Pattern||
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm plus long days (to 9pm) and blocks of night and weekend duties. All on call work is within psychiatric services.
Regular opportunities for ward-based teaching.
Weekly case conferences.
Special lectures every two weeks.
Hospital FY2 teaching programme 1 hour per week.
