Main Duties of Placement

Ward cover of acute and elective General Surgery, Vascular, Urology and Orthopaedics.

Acute receiving or Critical Care experience dependant on rota attachment received.

Pre-operative Assessment Clinic.

No theatre experience.

Typical Work Pattern

Full shift rota.

5/13 weekends in rota cycle.

Learning Opportunities

Specialty specific unit meetings.

Thursday X-ray meeting.

Colorectal and Vascular MDT Meetings.

Consultant-led ward rounds with teaching element.

Teaching

Every Tuesday or Wednesday for 1 hour; good page protection.
