Freedom of Information

You have the right to request access to information held by any Scottish public authority, including NHS Education for Scotland which implements Scottish Medical Training (formerly MMC Scotland), under three separate regimes:


The Data Protection Act 1998 for personal information about you as an individual.  Further information at:  www.ico.gov.uk/

The Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 for information relating to the environment.  Further information at:  www.itspublicknowledge.info/

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 for all other information.  Further information at:  www.itspublicknowledge.info/

In addition, arrangements for giving permission to re-use NES or Scottish Medical Training (SMT) documents are covered by the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations.  Further information at http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si2005/20051515.htm
