Here we give you some insights into living, working and training in Scotland. A 12-minute video clip provides a brief introduction to Specialty Training in Scotland, with a focus on training opportunities in Remote and Rural locations.
It includes interviews with the Postgraduate Dean of the North of Scotland Deanery as well as with the GP Director for North of Scotland, a GP based in Orkney, a doctor in training and a surgeon based at Belford Hospital in Fort William.
To view the entire DVD go to the Remote and Rural Healthcare Educational Alliance (RRHEAL) website at http://www.nes.scot.nhs.uk/education-and-training/by-theme-initiative/remote-and-rural/about-us.aspx
Follow the links on the left to an interactive map which gives an indication of the Deanery boundaries in Scotland as well as related fact sheets and links to the individual Deaneries which provide a wealth of information on living and working in Scotland.
Additionally, a selection of Case Studies contributed by junior doctors in training across a range of specialties provide you with first hand accounts of their experiences in Scotland.
