How to Apply

In order to be invited to the BBT selection centre, you will need to complete each stage of the GP selection process. You do not need to apply to GP to be invited to a BBT selection centre, although you can submit applications for both BBT and GP.

  • If you want to be considered for a General Practice training programme in its own right then you need to also apply to the General Practice application process separately
  • If you wish to apply for BBT alone then you will automatically be placed within a GP interview process

If you have not applied for GP, you will be contacted by the GP National Rrecruitment Office (GPNRO) and invited to complete the GP selection process. This includes sitting the Multi-Specialty Recruitment Assessment (MSRA) and attending a GP selection centre.

If you pass the MSRA and are invited to interview you will be pre booked into an interview slot at the Scotland GP selection centres on 7 February 2020. Guidance on the GP application process can be found here on the GPNRO website.

Once oyu have completed the GP selection process you can then be invited to select an interview slot for BBT in Scotland.
