| Main duties of placement: | Daily ward round with middle-grade or consultant (may be encouraged to undertake occasional rounds on own when more experienced). |
| Typical work pattern: | Full shift. |
| Learning opportunities: | Ward-based teaching. Weekly Lung Cancer MDT. |
| Teaching: | Teaching rounds with Consultant twice per week. 1 hour per week mandatory FY1 teaching. |
| Unique selling points: | Consultants are very “hands-on”. Opportunity to learn practical procedures. Busy but you learn a lot! |
