| Main duties of placement: | Training would include acute medicine, bleeding unit cover with all upper and lower GI bleeds coming through the unit, care of other in-patient Gastroenterology emergencies including liver failure, inflammatory bowel disease etc. Exposure to one or two outpatient clinics in gastroenterology will also be available. |

| Learning opportunities: | Ward teaching and journal clubs. |
| Teaching: | 2 x 2hrs mandatory teaching a month for FY2 trainees. |
