Main duties of placement:

List of appointments: each appointment 20 minutes long. Some days "on duty" appointments that patients have booked that day as emergency appointments.

Typical work pattern:

Daily Monday to Friday 9:30-18:00.

Learning opportunities:

Primary care problem cases seen every day; opportunity to ask for GP partners' advice and help if needed. Referrals to Hospital.

Teaching:

Morning management meetings. Plus 1 day a month FY2 teaching with other FY2s based in LIDGH or the Belford Hospital.

Unique selling points:

Being treated like a GP despite only being an FY2. No nights or weekends.
