| Main duties of placement: | Ward rounds and jobs generated. Interaction with OGS HAN |
| Typical work pattern: | The rota is pretty generous with some hard weeks followed by lots of time off; a good mix. Typical day is 8-5. Long days are 8am-8.30pm. Admitting shifts are 9am-9.30pm. |
| Learning opportunities: | One educational development session and ad hoc ward teaching. |
| Teaching: | Weekly orthopaedic teaching in addition to FY teaching. |
| Unique selling points: | Ward based practical skills including FIB, compartment monitor, PICC line maintenance. |
