| Main duties of placement: | Ward doctor for an inpatient organic assessment unit. |
| Typical work pattern: | 9-5 Monday to Friday OOH as per Tayside Psychiatry rota |
| Learning opportunities: | Clinical supervision within the ward environment. Supervised clinics (an option for interested trainees). Experience of OOH psychiatric care. Weekly supervision with a designated clinical supervisor. |
| Teaching: | Weekly PG teaching program (virtual via teams) on Thursdays. |
| Unique selling points: | MDT approach to psychiatric care, holistic assessment of elderly/frail population. Develop skills in; psychiatric history taking and mental state examination, risk assessment, medico-legal considerations, anticipatory care planning and management planning. |
