Main duties of placement:
  • Attending weekly MDT meetings - cover 2 wards attending both MDT weekly meetings.
  • Pre CPA and CPA meetings.
Typical work pattern:
  • Full shift (09:00-17:00).
  • On-call on a 7:1 basis - covering Perth Royal Infirmary and Acute Mental Health Response Team.
  • On-call shift is from 09:00-16:00 the next day where you are allowed 5 hours uninterrupted rest time unless any emergency.
Learning opportunities:
  • Ward-based teaching.
  • MDT meetings.
  • Courses taught on the ward.
Teaching:
  • FY2 teaching as per delivered education programme.
  • Department teaching with trainees presenting for one hour.
