| Main Duties of Placement
|
- Attending ward rounds at 8am each morning.
- Arranging investigations, consultations, etc.
- Admitting and discharging patients using the electronic discharge document.
- Ward round at 5pm each evening.

| Typical Work Pattern
|
- Weeks of full days interspersed with early and late shifts.
- Usually two weeks of nights covering the surgical floor and being on the Hospital at Night team.

- Registrars lead ward-based teaching.

- FY1 teaching as per delivered education programme.
