Main duties of placement:

Training would include acute medicine, bleeding unit cover with all upper and lower GI bleeds coming through the unit, care of other inpatient Gastroenterology emergencies including liver failure, inflammatory bowel disease etc. Exposure to one or two outpatient clinics in gastroenterology will also be available.
