Main duties of placement:

Ward rounds, admission of unselected emergency admissions to GIM, planning discharges, participation in multi-disciplinary team meetings.

Typical work pattern:

Full shift

Learning opportunities:

Ward-based meetings – weekly X-Ray meeting; weekly PG educational meeting; weekly hospital Grand Round; fortnightly journal club.

Quality improvement meetings.

Teaching:

As above plus deanery organised teaching.
