Main duties of placement:

Ward based – ward rounds and ward duties.

Typical work pattern:

Full shift.

You may cross cover Medical patients after 17:00 on a Long day and cover A&E/wards

Learning opportunities:

Morning handover where all new patients are discussed.

Teaching:

1 hour Peer teaching every Tuesday, 1 hour

Unique selling points:

Work in a small team with readily accessible Consultants. Absence of middle grades gives more opportunity for practical procedures.

Also the option of getting into theatre/endoscopy if time allows.
