Main duties of placement:

Ward rounds (both independent and with senior members of the team).

The F1 covers their own ward base with support provided from senior team members.

Typical work pattern:

Monday to Friday 9am-5pm plus Hospital at Night duties.

Learning opportunities:

Departmental meeting Monday lunchtimes.

X-ray meeting Tuesday lunchtimes.

Hospital Grand Round Wednesday lunchtimes.

Morbidity Review Meeting - Last Thursday of each month (13:15 – 14:00)

Weekly Tuesday Lunchtime Teaching Seminar (13:15 – 14:00)

Teaching:

Hospital F1 teaching programme 1 hour per week (Tuesday).
