Main Duties of Placement | Ward management of patients admitted to acute psychiatric care. Acute assessments of urgent referrals with the Intensive Home Treatment Team. |

Learning Opportunities | Ward-based teaching. Internal teaching at Dykebar (every 2 weeks in term time). Journal club (every 2 weeks in term time). Balint group for trainees (weekly; Balint is a psychotherapy informed group to allow discussion of challenging cases and experiences). |
Teaching | Internal teaching as above. External teaching programme for trainees (alternates with internal teaching weeks in term). |
