Foundation Programmes (FP)

The West is a region of the Scottish Foundation School offering a wide variety of training opportunities including inner city opportunities with posts in more remote and rural exposure through our FPP posts in Dumfries and Galloway and coastal opportunities in Ayr, Inverclyde and Paisley.

If allocated to a Foundation Programme in the West, you will be allocated to a two-year fixed programme.
