Main duties of placement:
  • Acute medical receiving.
  • Continuing medical care of GIM/Rheumatology wards at GRI.
  • Some rheumatology outpatient clinic work.
Typical work pattern:

Full shift and Hospital at Night team.

Learning opportunities:
  • Ward-based teaching.
  • Two unit meetings; case conference meeting and X-ray meeting.
  • Hospital grand round.
Teaching:

Mandatory F2 teaching; Clinical skills training plus two full and two half days teaching at Postgraduate Centre, GRI.

Unique selling points:

Good experience in GIM plus the opportunity to gain rheumatology experience in a large rheumatology unit in a University Teaching Hospital setting.
