All time spent working on junior rota in Emergency Department.

Typical work pattern:

Full shift 

Learning opportunities:

Constant senior supervision so lots of on the floor teaching supervision.

Morning handover meeting lasting 30 minutes when interesting cases are discussed from previous 24 hours.

Teaching:

Protected 2 hours teaching every Thursday morning.

Unique selling points:

Varied workload with more trauma than other hospitals due to helipad.

Significant consultant supervision.
