Main duties of placement: | Theatre, clinics, ward cover. |
Typical work pattern: | 8-5 elective shifts, on-call as part of 21 person rota. Day shifts, Night shifts, Critical care/HDU weeks. |
Learning opportunities: | Practical surgical experience as part of breast, UGI and colorectal teams. 2 weeks of critical care experience. |
Teaching: | Weekly departmental teaching and multi-disciplinary meetings. |
Unique selling points: | Critical care placement and teaching, opportunities to develop surgical portfolio in theatre. |
