Main duties of placement:

Care of patients on general medical wards.

Day-to-day ongoing care and provision of emergency service.

Typical work pattern:

Full shift and participation in on-call rota.

Includes receiving unit cover.

Learning opportunities:

Continuous learning from medical professionals - nursing and medical.

Weekly X-ray meetings and weekly medical meeting.

Evening Medical Update (monthly).

Teaching:

Tuesday lunchtime radiology meetings.

Friday lunchtime divisional meetings with presentation of cases.
