Main duties of placement:

Frequent Consultant ward rounds.

Clinics are sit-in with Consultant as staffing/leave allows.

Typical work pattern:

In 4 months there are typically 2 weeks of nights, 3 weeks of days, 1 or 2 weeks of evening ward cover and 1 or 2 weeks of 2pm-11pm ERU.

Leave is taken during specialty ward time.

  • Monday X-ray meeting.
  • Thursday Journal Club.
  • Friday Grand Rounds.
Teaching:

2 full days regional teaching mandatory.

Unique selling points:

Unselected take with a Consultant in ERU 8am-11pm on-site.
