Main duties of placement:

In four months; one week of outpatient clinics, two weeks of theatre, holidays allocated.

Flexibility to do more clinics/theatre beyond minimum.

Typical work pattern:

1:4 full shift rota with weeks of nights running 9pm-9am and days 9am-9pm.

Learning opportunities:

Consultant ward rounds.

Teaching:

Wednesday 2pm-5pm teaching of FY2 and Registrars by Consultants.

Two full days mandatory regional teaching.

Unique selling points:

Registrar on-site night and day with good support and flexibility to do more theatre and clinics (up to two additional weeks).

The hospital is the regional centre for Obstetric and Paediatric services.
