Main duties of placement:

Mostly ward-based (Consultant ward rounds, ward cover for inpatients) with opportunities for community sessions, including attendance at multidisciplinary meetings and supervised outpatient clinics.

Typical work pattern:

Full shift rota pattern currently with 1 in 13 twelve hour shifts.

Learning opportunities:

Multidisciplinary team meetings.

Weekly consultant supervision.

Teaching:

West region centralised teaching programme

Fortnightly internal teaching with journal club and case discussion.
