Main duties of placement: | Mostly ward-based (Consultant ward rounds, ward cover for inpatients) with opportunities for community sessions, including attendance at multidisciplinary meetings and supervised outpatient clinics. |
Typical work pattern: | Full shift rota pattern currently with 1 in 13 twelve hour shifts. |
Learning opportunities: | Multidisciplinary team meetings. Weekly consultant supervision. |
Teaching: | West region centralised teaching programme Fortnightly internal teaching with journal club and case discussion. |
