Main duties of placement:

Busy city centre Emergency Department seeing 85,000+ patients per year, involving:

  1. Assessment and management of undifferentiated emergency presentations both adult and paediatric in medicine surgery and trauma specialties.
  2. Treating minor injuries and illness.
  3. Managing head injury patients on ward.
Typical work pattern:

24/7 full shift, EWTD compliant.
Learning opportunities:

  • Senior presence with discussions and feedback.
  • Handover meetings (daily, morning and afternoons).
