Main Duties of Placement

Acute medical receiving.

Continuing medical care of GIM/Rheumatology wards at GRI.

Some rheumatology outpatient clinic work.

Typical Work Pattern

Full shift and Hospital at Night team.

Learning Opportunities

Ward-based teaching.

Two unit meetings; case conference meeting and X-ray meeting.

Hospital grand round.

Teaching

Mandatory F2 teaching; Clinical skills training plus two full and two half days teaching at Postgraduate Centre, GRI.

Unique Selling Points

Good experience in GIM plus the opportunity to gain rheumatology experience in a large rheumatology unit in a University Teaching Hospital setting.
