Applying for Foundation Training

How to Apply

The only way to obtain a 2-year Foundation Programme in Scotland is via the national UK application process.

The Applicant Guidance for the 2-year Foundation Programme provides information about the national application process, including the application timeline and information about each stage of the process, from completion of the application form on Oriel to the allocation to a Foundation School.

Allocation to Foundation School is based on applicants who are allocated to a foundation school, group and programme in Oriel via the Preference Informed Allocation (PIA) method.
