Overview
The West is one of the regions offered by the Scottish Foundation School, providing a diverse array of training opportunities. These include placements in inner city locations as well as rotations in remote and rural settings in Dumfries and Galloway and Ayrshire and Arran. Remote and rural exposure and provides foundation doctors with a greater awareness of the patient journey including primary/community and secondary interfaces in a remote and rural setting.
If allocated to a Foundation Programme (FP) in the West, you will be allocated to a two-year fixed programme.
