Main duties of placement:
  • Outpatient clinics.
  • Inpatient ward rounds.
  • Clerk-in new admissions.
  • Assist in day-treatment unit.
  • Participate in medical on-calls covering AMAU.
Typical work pattern:

Typical day 9-5 (clinic in morning, day treatment unit/in-patient ward in afternoon).

AMAU on-calls include night/late shifts and weekends.
Learning opportunities:

Participate in dermatology educational programme (every Thursday afternoon).
Teaching:

FY2 teaching courses and study leave available to attend additional courses eg. ALS.
Unique selling points:

Excellent dermatology exposure in clinics; very well supervised with close liaison and teaching from Consultants.
