Main duties of placement:
  • 4-5 clinics per week.
  • Theatre half day per week.
  • Other times ward-based attached to two named Consultants.
Typical work pattern:

In 4 months there are 2 weeks of nights split 4/3 and two or three weeks of 8am-9pm day-time on-call.
Learning opportunities:

In addition to above there are some opportunities for scopes.
Teaching:

Formal teaching on Thursday (up to 2 hours).

Two full days mandatory regional teaching.

Working with two named Consultants with continuity of care for patients.
