Main Duties of Placement
|
- Ward rounds 3 x per week with consultants, generally talk about patients first and then go round and see them.
- Keeping discharges up to date.
- Organising OP and IP appointments.
- General ward tasks.
- Ordering bloods.
- Keeping TPARs and notes up to date.
- MDT meetings once a week.

As part of a team of F1/2s, STs, Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals and Acute Medical Consultants, responsible for the initial assessment and management of a range of acutely unwell medical patients; responsible for delivering continuing care for patients within the Acute Medical Unit.

Typical Work Pattern
|
- Working pattern is 0900-1830 Mon to Fri.
- Cross cover some wards due to staffing.
