Main Duties of Placement
|
- Continuity of patient care.
- Acute assessment of acutely disturbed patients.
- Health screen checks and ongoing investigation.
- The community part of the placement involves:
- assessment of new patients referred to the team.
- follow up with medication switches and ongoing review of their mental state.
- Additional duties include ECT and on call.
- Team meetings once per week in the community.
- Bi-weekly consultant ward meetings.
- Dictating admission notes and discharge summaries.
- Attending tribunal meetings for switching patients from emergency detention to short term detention and from short term to compulsory treatment order.

Typical Work Pattern
|
- Part of 1 in 11 on-call rota.
- Outpatient clinics twice weekly.

- FY2 teaching as per delivered education programme.
