| Main Duties of Placement
|
- Updating patient list.
- Ward rounds.
- Clerking in elective patients for Plastic Surgery and Breast Surgery.
- Clerking in Palliative Care patients.
- Clerking in emergency Plastic Surgery patients when on-call.
- There is very little time and it's rare to go into theatre or clinics, but you are encouraged to do this if you have time.

| Typical Work Pattern
|
- Full shift, covering Plastic Surgery, Breast Surgery and Palliative Care on a daily basis.
- Also covering ENT, Opthalmology, Dermatology and Neurosurgery when on-call.

| Learning Opportunities
|
- Journal club every week.
- Consultant teaching every week.
|
| Teaching
|
- Consultant teaching for 30mins - 1 hour. Not always possible due to theatre lists.
|
| Unique Selling Points
|
- Some really good teaching e.g. about hand injuries/fractures.
- Registrars keen to teach and answer questions.
