Main Duties of Placement
|
- Ward duties (bloods, elective clerking, ward rounds, post op reviews, prescribing)
- Participate in elective theatre cases
- Pre-assessment clinic
- Support FY1s and ANPs
- Night duties - medical support for patients in PRI surgical wards (1, 7 & 8), part of PRI HAN team, support for AMU admissions team

Standard days, long days, night duties.
Part of rota including Ninewells Hospital. |
Learning Opportunities
|
- Daily elective orthopaedic theatre lists
- Attend daily ortho Out-patient clinics
- Consultant Teaching on ward rounds, clinics and theatre
- Attend regional PG Teaching

Teaching
|
- Regular Centralised Orthopaedic Departmental Teaching
- Attend Daily Trauma meetings whilst in Ninewells
- Post-graduate Deanery Teaching with cross cover of wards
|
