Main Duties of Placement | This is a four month supernumerary placement within the Department of Anaesthesia at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Time will be spent with the Acute Pain Team where you will learn about pain management. You will also be able to practise and perfect a large number of clinical skills which will be useful for any future career such as airway management, vascular access etc. |
Typical Work Pattern | The placement is split with two months spent in ICU & two months anaesthetics. |
Learning Opportunities | In ICU you will spend 2 months working as part of the ICU team caring for critically ill patients and learning skills associated with this. |
Teaching | In both roles there will be opportunity for audit as well as teaching experience. |
Unique Selling Points | Neither of these two month attachments has any out of hours commitment. |
