| Main Duties of Placement | Ward based – ward rounds and ward duties. |
| Typical Work Pattern | Full shift, usually Surgery 08:30 – 16:30. Currently no weekend work but this is under review |
| Learning Opportunities | Oncology (fortnightly) and M&M Meetings (monthly), monthly evening Medical Updates via VC with RCPE, weekly Hospital Educational meetings. Morning handover where all new patients are discussed. |
| Teaching | 1 hour Peer teaching every Tuesday, 1 hour |
| Unique Selling Points | Work in a small close knit friendly team with direct Consultant supervision. Particularly wide range of conditions encountered, and very good general experience. |
