Main Duties of Placement | Ward rounds. Ward jobs (IDL's, prescribing, addressing acutely ill patients). |
Typical Work Pattern | Acute Medicine: Shift work including out of hours General Medicine specialty attachment: Day shifts and occasional evening cover. Two months in acute medicine receiving and two months in a general medicine specialty. |
Learning Opportunities | Ward round based teaching, MDT meetings and opportunity to teach medical students. |
Teaching | One hour of FY1 mandatory teaching weekly. |
