Main Duties of Placement | These posts were previously filled by FY1 and as such a significant proportion of the work is ward-based. There are no plans at present to include these posts on the on-call rota as ENT is a highly specialised field. |

Learning Opportunities | Opportunities also exist for junior staff to attend both Outpatient clinics (General ENT; Paediatric; Voice; Head and Neck; Rhinology; Neuro-Otology) and theatre sessions which run daily in ARI and RACH. |
Teaching | There is an active and regular programme of postgraduate education including: weekly seminars, teaching ward rounds, M&M meetings monthly, clinico-pathological meetings, bi-monthly postgraduate afternoons and journal clubs. |
Unique Selling Points | All junior doctors are encouraged to set personalĀ goals for the 4-month period in ENT and will be encouraged at the unit induction to complete a personal log of learning opportunities. |
