| Main Duties of Placement | ITU ward rounds, review of level 1 patients. Join anaesthetists in theatre. Surgical Pre-assessment clinics every Wednesday. Cover of surgical lates and weekends. |
| Typical Work Pattern | Days in ITU: 8.00-4.30 pm. Days in theatre: 8.00am-4.30pm (can be flexible dependent upon learning opportunities). |
| Learning Opportunities | CME meetings. Thursday afternoon teaching sessions. Ward rounds. Learn during sessions with anaesthetists in theatre; practical procedures and knowledge in anaesthetics and physiology. |
| Teaching | Once a week FY1 tutorials. Grand Rounds. Afternoon teaching sessions in anaesthetics. |
