Placement	Paediatrics
Year	F2
Region	South-East
Hospital(s)	Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy
Main Duties of Placement	Assessment of paediatrics and neonates in children's ward or neonatal ward. Routine baby checks on postnatal ward.
Typical Work Pattern	4 weekends on, 4 weekends off.
Learning Opportunities	Regular contact with seniors multiple times a day. Departmental teaching 1 hour weekly. NLS course.
Teaching	Mandatory protected teaching time for: NHS Fife Medical Education Services FY2 Core Education Programme delivering 1 hour per week. NHS Fife Medical Education Services FY2 Core Simulation Programme delivering 3 sessions per block. Departmental teaching: Departmental internal teaching programme 1 hour per week. Department grand round 1 hour per week. NHS Fife Grand Round weekly teaching.
