|
Care of patients on general medical ward; day-to-day and emergency. |
| Typical Work Pattern
|
- Full shift, including seven nights per every four months and moderate amount of evening/weekend cover.
- Includes receiving unit cover.
- FY1s are ward-based.

- Continuous learning from seniors during ward rounds, and in particular when on-call.
- Audit opportunities.

| Teaching
|
- Compulsory FY1 teaching.
- Tuesday lunchtime radiology meetings.
- Friday lunchtime divisional meetings with opportunities to present cases.
