Main Duties of Placement
|
- Care of adults undergoing general surgical and surgical specialty procedures.
- Acute surgical receiving - taking GP referrals and admitting patients to the acute surgical ward (4A).
- Ward rounds each morning.
- Opportunities to attend theatre sessions and perform some minor operations.

Typical Work Pattern
|
Full shift pattern including:
- Normal standard day (8am - 4pm)
- Long days (8am - 8pm)
- Back shift (12noon - 8pm)
- Late shift (4pm - midnight)
- Night shift
