Main Duties of Placement | Ward rounds including review of direct admissions to wards. |
Typical Work Pattern | Full shift. Out of hours on-call rota. |
Learning Opportunities | Consultant-supervised review of new and unwell patients seven days weekly on all four wards on 7th floor. Consultant-led ward rounds. Thursday lunchtime respiratory educational meeting (1 hour per week). Tuesday lunchtime radiology MDTM (1 hour per week). |
Teaching | Departmental and Junior Doctors’ Clinical Forum. |
Unique Selling Points | Exposure to complex respiratory subspecialities not represented at other sites in West of Scotland (Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonary vascular disease, Neuromuscular and long-term ventilation etc.) including working as part of multi-disciplibary team. |
