Main Duties of Placement | Manage patients in ward. Pre-assessment clinics. On-call for emergencies. Attend theatres. Outpatient clinics. |
Typical Work Pattern | Rolling rota, typically between 0800hrs to 0500pm. Rrolling on-call rota over night. |
Learning Opportunities | Mainly at trauma meetings, theatres, clinics, ward rounds and organised teaching sessions. |
Teaching | Regular presentation by a senior member of staff (consultants and registrars) every week. Presentation on a topic every week on Tuesday morning. Encouraged to attend Urology and General Surgery teaching. |
