Main Duties of Placement | Care of women antenatally, postnatally and intrapartum with both inpatient and outpatient activity. Management and care of emergency and elective gynaecology patients. Attendance at gynaecology outpatient clinics. |
Typical Work Pattern | Full shift with night duties for obstetrics. Hospital at night team for ward-based gynaecology problems after 11pm. |
Learning Opportunities | Clinical teaching in acute and outpatient settings. Close supervision by seniors. Weekly hospital-based postgraduate lunchtime meetings. |
Teaching | Mandatory departmental teaching Friday lunchtime. Weekly CTG discussion. DRCOG tutorials. |
