Main Duties of Placement | Covering General Liaison ward referrals and supporting Liaison Nurses with ED presentations. |
Typical Work Pattern | 9-5pm Monday to Friday. |
Learning Opportunities | Wide range of presentations from perinatal, neuro-psychiatric, Alcohol Liaison, acutely suicidal, cognitive testing to psychotropic prescribing in co-morbid medical conditions. |
Teaching | CME and Postgraduate Psych Teaching as well as Internal Liaison teaching sessions. |
Unique Selling Points | Offers greater degree of experience, responsibility and autonomy than many other FY2 posts, including having own OPCs, assessments and drawing up provisional management plans for patients seen. |
